Save Me

This song was from their second album "Us and Them".

45

This was one of the hit songs from their first album "Leave A Whisper (2003-2005)".

Simple Man

This song is when I saw how strong of a singer Brent Smith was. The song was from their first album "Leave a Whisper(2003-2005). This song , in my opinion, was what made them first popular because it really turned the original song into a more powerful felt version. He performed a cover for the song "Simple Man" by Lynard Skynard. This was performed at his house.

The Bassist: Eric Bass

Born and raised in Charleston, SC in a very musical family. Him and his sisters were constantly singing and playing piano, and were very much encouraged by their parents to be creative. In 2007, he opened his own recording studio , Ocean Industries. Then he got the chance to write and demo some songs with Shinedown. In which he got to know Brent and Barry pretty well in a short amount of time. Soon after that he got a call to audition for the bass player position that had become available. He made the cut and joined Shinedown where he still is currently today.

The Guitarist: Zach Myers

Zach Myers was born in 1983 in Memphis, Tennessee. He founded and is currently the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band The Fairwell. He is also the former bassist and current guitarist for the hard rock band Shinedown, and the manager of Memphis rock pop band Sore Eyes. Zach joined Shinedown as a touring rhythm guitarist in 2005, before becoming their temporary bassist after the departure of Brad Stewart in 2007. In early 2008, he assumed the role of permanent rhythm guitarist. On December 18, 2008 Nick Perri departed Shinedown, leaving Zach to assume the role of the band's rhythm and lead guitarist.

The Drummer: Barry Kerch

Barry Kerch, like Brent Smith, was one of the first members of Shinedown. He was born on August 7, 1976 and started playing drums at the age of 7. Barry took many lessons before recieving his first drum kit 2 years later. He said the first song that he practiced when he got his first drum set was "Number of the Beast" by Iron Maiden. Barry would continue to practice all throughout elementary, middle, high school, and college (UCF) until he landed the Shinedown gig in 2001.
