The Singer: Brent Smith

Brent Smith is the lead singer and singer-songwriter for the band Shinedown. He was born on January 10, 1978. Before he made the band Shinedown, Brent was in a band called "Blind Thought" in the early 90's, and after that he was the lead singer for "Dreve". He became popular through how powerful his voice is and his impressive live performances. There is even a youtube video of him singing at a party with no microphone and when he sings, everyone is blown away. He was quickly noticed and soon given a 


developmental contract by Atlantic Records, but turned it down to look for other musicians. He then found the band Shinedown and has been there ever since.
